Barkingside is a vaguely picturesque suburb of Ilford. When I got off the bus, the first thing I noticed was a big staring contest between a Sainsbury and a Tesco. There were a few really nice old anglican buildings, such as a small church and what looked like an octagonal mansion, but unfortunately I didn't seem to be able to get anywhere near them, definitely not near enough to take pictures.
