Canary Wharf is London's newest business area with 65,000 employees. It includes Britain's tallest building, the 235m One canada Square, and the second and third tallest - HSBC's 8 Canada Square and Citigroup's European HQ. The estate was started in 1980 when it was just a derelict docks. It is now a busy shopping, restaurant and leisure destination. Things to see: Museum in Docklands, Public Art, SS Robin, West India Quay restaurants and bars.

This is the view from in front of the tube station looking up to One Canada Square - the steam pouring from the top of the pyramid is from the air conditioning units underneath but lends the building a slightly mysterious air.
