Describe Canning Town here.
Entry 1:
For many of us Canningtown is just a stop on the Jubilee line when changing for a bus to City Airport or the DLR. Canningtown has a rich history. Situated on the river Lea, it has attracted lots of industry since Victorian times. Canningtown always has had good raillinks with the docks. In the 60's it went through a decline as the port of London went through a decline itself. Now with many regeneration projects ongoing and good links with Stratford and ultimately Paris things are looking good. (Sebastiaan Kalwij)
