Entry 1:
Cutty Sark is the DLR station for Maritime Greenwich. There is a foot tunnel from here to the Isle of Dogs (see Island Gardens).
This is the famous Tea Clipper the Cutty Sark which the station is named after.

Visit by Royal Navy aircraft carrier upstream from Greenwich in 2004
2004_Royal_Navy_Visit_(Oliver)Entry 5. A walk: coming out of the station I head down to the water and east along the river, past the grand old naval college. After that it starts to get urban and industrial and I take pictures of the views across the rivers and old barges lit up by the late sun. You can keep walking past the dome and unto the Thames barrier, but on this day I head up a street and into Greenwich park (one of London's most lovely green spaces)and up to the observatory where I straddle a line that marks GMT, a threshold between east and west. Such a fantastic view too.
