Farringdon was dark. Not surprising really as I didn't venture there until 10.30pm on a Friday. Fabric. You know it makes sense.
Then again, if you venture there during daytime you'll uncover a wealth of history. Martin E.
The Smithfield meat market still operates there. Livestock used to be slaughtered in the open, but now the market is enclosed in an old Victorian building.
