April 2005: Walking over from Latimer Road via backstreets and over Lansdown and Stanley Gardens I landed on the south-side of Portobello Road Market famous for its antiques (which have been sold at this market since the 18th century). Further north one can buy fresh fruit/vegetables and cloths ranging from designer one-offs to second hand.(Astrid)
