Charing Cross Road is not only home to some very good bookshops - including a Blackwells and the world-famous Foyles, but also to Central St Martin's College of Art & design.

< Here the artist Paula Chiaia sits in a college window decorating herself with her own personal stream-of-consciousness grafitti, and in a different window with mass-media newspaper cuttings. "That's classic," says one passer-by to his companion. "It's OK," says the other.
IMG_0016Aside from the cinemas, Leicester Square is also the start of the Jubliee Walkway around London and there are little markers (they look like Crowns)in the ground to show this. Find them all and you can see all the historic landmarks of the city (they're all over the city, not just the square), though I'm lazy and found only one. You can also find out the exact distance between the square and some African countries by keeping your eyes peeled to the ground, though the funny looks from square denziens as I photographed bits of ground was novel too.
