New Cross Gate has got this end of the world, end of the line kind of feeling. Mainly populated by students from Goldsmith University and commuters changing from the mainline train services to the East London Line. But there is hope! The Line will be extended. The plans have been on the table since 1997, but now it looks like something is happening. New Hope! The area itself is worth exploring, especially if you like live bands. There some great student eateries aswell. One place serves the best doubledecker cheese-pineapple toast. The Venue is a good place to watch tribute bands. New Cross Gate is alive.
