Describe Tottenham Court Road here.
Entry 1:
I first noticed this wittily modified sign about 6 months ago. I have since dragged various friends along to look at it, each time expecting it to have disappeared, or been replaced. So far the sign is still up. I love the fact that it is so subtle, though now of course more attention has been drawn to it, it may get noticed more often. A small detail to raise a smile at one of the drabbest tube station entrances on the system. Matt Gilbert 19/1/05

Entry 2:
Tottenham Court Road station is a busy station on Central and Northern Lines. Tottenham Court Road is a good destination for anyone looking for a good deal on computers. It's also at the beginning of Oxford Street, a place best to avoid in the weeks before Christmas. In January on a Tuesday morning it's a very pleasant experience. The best shops in the world and a place to have coffee every 100 yards. Grand architecture at Oxford Circus itself and down Regent Street. Tottenham Court Road is one of my favourite stations because of the colourful mosaics. The Central line platform and the hallway are the best. Off Oxford street towards Greenpark and avoiding Bond Street is Hanover Square. If it weren't for the red telephone boxes one could easily take it for an Italian square. A beautiful wooden take-away outlet is a popular place with black cab drivers. Sebastiaan Kalwij
